With the blessings of Allah and the generous contribution of you all the work on the Masjid has been completed. The Masjid was inaugurated on the 29th of June 2014 corresponding to 1st Ramadhan 1435 Hijri
300 years ago during the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam, The Jame Masjid Basar (JMB) along with the grave yard and Idd Gaah was established & designated as a Waqf in a village called Basar approx 250 km north of Hyderabad. The last reconstruction was done 90 years ago by the late Banday-Aali sahab who was the Mutawalli designated at that time. The structure comprised of mud walls and thatched roof which was the norm during that time. Please click here for some pictures of the old structure. Over the years many environmental factors led to the structure becoming weaker. Looking at the dilapidated condition the present Mutawalli Mohammed Liquaul Haq (grandson of Bande-Aali sahab) decided to undertake the much needed reconstruction. After gaining all the approvals & permissions from the former AP State Waqf board (now Telangana Waqf Board) work began in March 2013 and ended on June 2014. The Masjid was inaugurated Alhamdulillah on the first night of Ramzan 1435 Hijri corresponding to 29th June 2014. Allah bless those who volunteered and contributed to this great cause.
